John M. Cachat
John M. Cachat has over 30 years of experience in the Information Technology (IT) industry. He has focused his career on Enterprise Information Systems, especially the strategy for leveraging existing investment in ERP, PLM, MES, CRM and other tools currently in pace.
Cachat’s IT knowledge started during his Master’s program at Texas A&M University where he specialized in Automated Manufacturing. He managed a major United States Air Force research projected that focused on the non-financial and non-inventory related business processes, especially those required by international quality standards (ISO9000, TS16949 automotive, AS9100 aerospace, ISO13485 Medical Device, and FDA Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)).
Cachat has been sought out by major IT companies, including IBM, for his subject matter expertise in these business processes areas.
With both deep strategic vision and technical competency, Cachat has brought his insight to a variety of industries including manufacturing, government, healthcare, and software organizations.
Clients engage Cachat in their organizations as Chief Information Officer, project manager, and business advisor.
Prior to Cachat and Associates, Cachat was the Chairman and Founder of IQS, Inc., an international enterprise quality management information systems software provider. In that position, Cachat worked with large and small organizations. From second generation small business to Eaton, Parker Hannifin, Polyone, Menu Foods, and the US FDA, Cachat is described as “responsive and open-minded and easy to do business with. Cachat holds a MSIE degree from Texas A&M University, specializing in Automated manufacturing; a BSIE degree from Kettering University (General Motors Institute) and is a certified Quality Engineer.
